We all know champions are made in the off season and it couldn't be more true with wrestling. So if you are looking to become a better wrestler, keep up your grappling a few times a month or just want to see what the sport is all about... come by our Spring and Summer wrestling club for a workout.
We get together on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Randolph High School wrestling room from 6:30 PM to at least 8:00 PM and plan on going to July 28th this year.
Former Tri County & Grade School league Coach Carl DeStefanis heads up Mondays and returning star alumnus John Gregory is leading Wednesday nights.
If you haven't been yet you'll first notice the room starts off pretty casual and light hearted, the way one would think volunteer practices should. We always cover a new move or two and of course there’s a little drilling. However as the sweat begins to flow and blood pumps you can actually feel the air thicken as the grit and grind of true competitors comes out. Then we go live and it’s anybody’s match to win!
The best part is YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE FROM RANDOLPH to join us. Any 3rd to 12th grade wrestler with a USA Wrestling Card is welcome, so bring a buddy too!
Grade schoolers work out separately from upper classmen. However we are all on the same mat and ultimately end up helping each other to get better no matter the age or skill level.
There are also NO DUES, but we do ask for a one time $25 to help with facilities.
